Hunter Lake NV ride area
Hunter Lake is located in south-west Reno off Caughlin Parkway.
Directions
The Hunter Lake area can be accessed from Highway 395 at South McCarran or from I-80 at West McCarran.
To access from South McCarran:
- Exit at Neil Road. If coming from the South turn left on Neil Road. If
coming from the North turn right on Neil Road.
- Turn right on Kietzke Lane and follow it to McCarran. Get in the left
turn lane.
- Turn left on South McCarran and follow it about five miles to Caughlin
Parkway (West).
- Turn left on Caughlin Parkway and proceed 1/10th of a mile to Village
Green Parkway. It is the street just past the shopping center on the left.
- Turn left on Village Green Parkway, go 1/4 of a mile to Pine Haven Road.
- Turn left on Pine Haven Road. Go 1/10 of a mile you will see the "Hunter
Lake access" sign.
- Turn right and follow the trail.
To access from West McCarran:
- Exit at West McCarran. If coming from I-80 West turn right on McCarran.
If coming from the East turn left on McCarran.
- Follow McCarran about four miles to Caughlin Parkway.
- Turn right on Caughlin Parkway and proceed 1/10th of a mile to Village
Green Parkway. It is the street just past the shopping center on the left.
- Turn left on Village Green Parkway, go 1/4 of a mile to Pine Haven Road.
- Turn left on Pine Haven Road. Go 1/10 of a mile you will see the "Hunter
Lake access" sign.
- Turn right and follow the trail.
Opportunities
Hunter Lake boasts numerous roads and trails for the OHV enthusiast. Roads range from easy to difficult.
Camping
Dispersed camping is allowed. No campgrounds available.
